Pahrump lodging: the lowdown

The short version is on the homepage. This page keeps the rooms, the amenities, the drive, and the rules.

When we are not on the water, we are here. Some Tuesday Ranch is our land base, a secluded one-acre spread in the quiet high desert outside Pahrump, and now the place we hand over to you. It is our Pahrump lodging, the whole house, and we are in it whenever we are home.

The house is 2,055 sq ft of what we can only describe as eclectic-bohemian glam: teal velvet sofas, hand-painted Talavera tile, kilim rugs, a wall of Western portraits and a wood-burning fireplace that earns its keep on cold desert nights. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 6 beds, room for 10.

But the real magic happens outside. Afternoons belong to the fenced, lagoon-style pool, where you can float and watch the Spring Mountains turn purple at twilight. Evenings belong to the fire pit — oversized, stocked with fragrant mesquite, ringed by eight colorful Adirondack chairs. And then the sky does its thing. With a full acre of open ground and almost no light pollution, the Milky Way comes out in a way that stops conversation mid-sentence.

Out under the sky

Ten loungers along the pool deck. A private hot tub. An outdoor grill and an al-fresco dining table for long dinners that run past dark. Shade sails for the middle of the day, an overstuffed reading chair looking out over the lawn for the quiet hours, and a cornhole board for when the group gets competitive. Blankets hang by the door on the way out to the fire.

Inside, when you want it

The kitchen is properly stocked — double ovens, a coffee bar, wine glasses, everything you need to cook a holiday meal rather than order one. There is seating for six at the dining table, three more at a second table and three stools at the kitchen bar. When the sun goes down there is a cabinet of board games, a poker set, a record player with records to match, and a giant HD TV. Starlink keeps the Wi-Fi genuinely fast, which matters if you are working from here or streaming something after everyone else turns in.

Close to everything, far from the noise

The ranch sits in Country View Estates, minutes from Highway 160 but far enough back that the loudest thing you will hear most evenings is the desert breeze. Furnace Creek in Death Valley is about an hour and a quarter away, Red Rock Canyon about an hour and a quarter, and the Las Vegas Strip about an hour and twenty minutes door to door. Closer still: natural hot springs, off-road trails, Charleston Peak Winery (formerly Pahrump Valley Winery), and local distilleries. Sanders Family Winery is temporarily closed.

Come for a family gathering, a writers’ retreat, a basecamp for the parks, or for nothing at all. We built it for slow mornings and star-filled nights.

Why guests keep coming back

fenced pool & private hot tub

A fenced, lagoon-style pool that is not heated, with mountain views on every side, ten loungers, and shade sails overhead. The hot tub is private. It has a fenced pool, with the fence surrounding the whole property. A high-latch gate between the back door and the pool keeps little ones safer when it stays closed. The driveway gate opens from the main driveway into the back yard and pool area. It is not for guest use.

Mesquite fire pit

Oversized, stocked with fragrant mesquite wood, and circled by eight Adirondack chairs. The heart of the evening.

large covered back patio

large covered back patio. The place to sit out of the sun and still be outside.

Serious stargazing

A full open acre with minimal light pollution. On a clear night the Milky Way is unmistakable.

Starlink Wi-Fi

Fast enough to work from, stream on, or run a video call without apologising for the connection.

A kitchen you can cook in

Double ovens, a coffee bar and enough gear for a full holiday dinner. Seating for twelve across three surfaces.

About 1¼ hours to Furnace Creek

Death Valley, hot springs, off-road trails and Charleston Peak Winery — then home to total quiet.

Quiet hours

10 guests maximum, no parties or events, and smoking outside only, never inside the house. Pahrump’s short-term rental ordinance sets quiet hours from 10:00 pm, so no outdoor amplified sound after that.

Security

There are exterior security cameras and noise decibel monitors on the property. Nothing indoors, ever.

Trailers and RVs

Bringing a trailer or RV? You're welcome to park it inside the locked gates at no extra charge. Just let us know ahead of time. If you'd like to use the RV pad in the side lot with its electric and water hookups, there's an extra charge, so ask us about that too. The pad only goes with a whole-house stay.
